Sing us your little song, tell us what you're thinking
You flit from branch to branch
hop on hop on hop off and fly
3
but you don't know the reason why
you don't know the reason why
4
you just do it
Croak out your little croak, breathe into the water
Your leathery skin is letting it out
and also letting it in
but you don't know the reason why
you don't know the reason why
you just do it
Stretch your shining strands across the path
that come from you and they are stronger than you
you are, you illimitably are
you sure thing, you matter maker
but you don't know the reason why
you don't know the reason why
you just do it
Weave...

We Are Turned

Capo 2
We've been going at speed
counting out the days when we don't meet
We've been taking what we need
and multiplying, multiplying what we receive
Oh willow tree, see me now
bluer than blue, greener than you
I am no thing, I am of this world
Lighter even than air
heavier than water, we come we flow
thinner than a second, fat like the Earth
Of the Earth we are round
round and round and round we go
and we turn, and we are turned

cut off by the tide, back to land we run
G
scattering ripples, leaving footprints
Bm
spreading out under the sun
D Bm
And when I came to the town in the night
D Bm
I saw you in the rain, in the juddering streetlights
G Bm
signs turn red and green and wait for no-one
G STOP....... 4 notes leading to Bm
O Brother I have stalled......

The water was muddied when the silt mushroomed
G Bm
and the stream became unclear when the dirt got moved
D Bm
So, shake the tree, there are cherries left to pick
D Bm
Go on, eat your fill, but leave a bit
G Bm
For fortune's fit and we are ripening

Dreamed our house had burnt down and we'd moved away
D Bm
cracked the patio, shifted stones to make carrot space
G Bm
But still the hum buzzed and loomed and weaved its way
G E D
On the bridge sets the sun, I cry, remember home
D Bm
Water runs rings round, peas are reaching high
D Bm
and the good light rains down though the girls get lost sometimes

Dead Skin Falling
02:08
|
|||
Neele always has a lot to say and she shakes it off, like dead skin falling
Her heart vibrates, her belly moves, her hands and feet become four hooves.
She soaks beans, she sings, her arms stretch wide
She hangs her pictures deep inside
All coloured glass and silver thread
in dreams she enters in our heads.
When Neele sleeps in her caravan
her hooves become eight spindly hands
she weaves a web from out her chest
and hangs at centre of her nest.
With her eight eyes, she sees eight sights
and knows she doesn't always quite know
which one is best for her
which direction, which water
will cool her down, refresh her skin
now she's not afraid to dive right in.
At the station she waits alone
she knows that she is going home
she says her home is in her bowl
I know her home is in her soul.

Luciernaga

Luciernaga, brillando al lado de mi
sigue brlllando por todo la noche
no hay nadie aparte de ti
Yo solita voy por el rio hasta llega al mar
y no me encontraran hasta me muera
yo nunca me voy a casar.

Bright Black Day
G no capo
Cdim: 01200
G Cdim
In the woods, in the woods
G Cdim
I call to you
G D
Oh, where would you be now
Em B7
If not in the woods, if not in the woods
I hear your breathing round every corner
in leaves that fall, I hear your call
I feel you as you pass
G (3rd fret) Cm D# Bb
Tell me things that no-one ever told to you
G D# G
A new bright black day unfolds
G Cm D# Bb
And in the space between us something grows
G D# G
something knows, something sees into our bones
In the water, in the water
I see the light crystallize the form of you
I am well though I am blue

Lavender
03:35
|
|||
I had a dream, I met death in the street
and she was so kind to me, she had white hair down to her feet
she drew back her black hood and smiled ten thousand wrinkled lines
and she shook lavender at me
and said "it's not time to meet"
"It's not time for us to meet"
And when I awoke, and you were warm beside me
I knew you weren't going to leave
by the blood and the bone, the soil and the stone
So let's sail in our streams
you on one boat and I on another
and in between, our sisters and brothers, our mothers and fathers and lovers
And let's shake lavender
when it's not time to meet
when it's not time for us to meet

Little Bird
03:03
|
|||
Oh little bird, won't you come down to see me?
Little bird, won't you come down from your home
made of bone and stone
and scratchings of the ground that you found.
Cause it's the time, it's the place, it's the sun hits the cracks
they grow fatter and that's all good King Henry needs
he goes green and he leaves
so we'll feast off the fat of the land.
Oh little bird, won't you crack your egg?
Cause it's late in the day and I'm ready for bed.
Salute for the king, hear the bugle calling
but it's the source, it's the seed, it's the belly we should be thanking.
Oh little bird, won't you crack your egg?
Cause I'm hungry and tired, and the sky's turning red.

4: 07977

Riff: 0400 h2, 0, second string

Hold on tightly, the wind has come
It fans the flames and all we had is gone
We look around and all we see
is something waiting to be
3
Through the ash
4
Through the smoke
5
pushes new, something awoke
We come to gather the sounds that land in our ears
So hand on burned hand, let's stay here
Though we're few, though we're cold
We are new, we are old
